Supervision
In case you want to work in the field of empirically informed philosophy of emdodied cognition, AI, and predictive processing ideally in combination with the arts (broadly understood as including architecture & urban planning / visual media, images and film / social media & AI) or Art (also with a focus on visual art). Joerg Fingerhut is a guest professor at the Department of Philosophy at Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin and can supervise doctoral theses, master or bachelor theses (contact: joerg.fingerhut@hu-berlin). Corinna Kühnapfel can co-supervise also more empirical work using methods from the cognitive sciences (contact: contact@artsandmindslab.com).
In case you bring your own funding, we putatively can provide a workspace at Luisenstr. 56 and regular access to an interdisciplinary team of researchers! We are looking forward to hearing from you!
Internship
We are offering three-month mandatory internships on Research Platform Neurourbanism (RPN) and Your Emotional City at Charité - Universitätsmedizin Berliné, starting October 1, 2024. This unique opportunity is ideal for bachelor’s or master’s students interested in mental health in the city and the social determinants of mental health. You will work within an interdisciplinary team investigating the impact of urban density on emotional states and mental well-being.
